It's spring, so let's talk horses!
Equine Farm Management, Inc., (EFM) was incorporated in 1995 when Ron Wallace, MS, began offering farm management consulting to new, busy, and/or absentee horse farm owners across the United States. (See Equine Farm Management’s list of current and previous clients.
With more than 30 years of successful, hands-on experience in planning and operating a variety of farms as the day-to-day manager or overseer, Ron understands what is needed to build, rebuild, or manage a current horse operation to make it attractive, streamlined, horse-friendly, and profitable.
Ron’s years of management experience came at Thoroughbred properties such as Juddmonte Farms
near Lexington, KY, and Three Chimneys Farm
near Midway, KY. He also has operated a guest ranch in Colorado, is working with architect Tom Wilmes
to develop a top-end facility for Quarter Horses in Florida, and is assisting in the design of an equine residential development.
Equine Farm Management tailors each program to the needs and desires of the farm owner and operation. Farm owners are given access to an array of qualified and trustworthy independent specialists and high-level managers. Ron can help farms select from pre-qualified and appropriate contract labor, which frees the farm’s payroll for a smaller core of full-time employees who can be trained by Ron or one of the independent specialists.
Equine Farm Management's individualized services include management and operational consulting, general management, farm and barn design and layout, development and oversight of farm construction, property maintenance, day-to-day farm management (with or without a resident manager), racing and bloodstock management, and other as-needed consultation services.
These services are available whether you are investing in your dream mini-farm of 5-10 acres, developing a new horse property from the ground up, or running a thousand-acre full-service facility.
for help in making your horse property efficient and worry-free!
